Does anyone have any tips on how to play against players that use pressure tactics? I'm sick of playing games where I am instantly surrounded by 3 or 4 opponents as soon as I get the ball. I pass ...

@GSM350Really depends on who they have in their team because if they've paid to get all the top players in the game, there's not much you can do...
But the best way i've found to play against it is this;
- Only use sprint or controlled sprint when you have a lot of space in front of you
- Quick give & go's to get your players moving forward to drag their defenders about
- Look for players with long ball, long ball+, incisive pass, pinged pass etc... and players with good dribbling.
- When they're going crazy with the press if you have fast wingers and CMs/fullbacks that have good long passing you can play long throughballs over the top and catch them on the break
But sadly the AI is so ridiculously overpowered this year that it won't work every time

Thanks for the tips, it's greatly appreciated. Hopefully I can use them and I only get beaten 2-0 instead of the usual 8-0 lol.
@GSM350 yeah @Oldman_Sparky_YT is right too, if you can work the ball to your fullbacks and play wing to wing then that can help too BUT if you do it, make sure you have fullbacks with good long passing and ball control because if not the passes will go short and will bounce off your player and they'll be straight in.
It's so frustrating to play against but i'd definitely say looking for CMs with the long ball trait helps a lot, playing long diagonal lobbed throughballs is really effective with that playstyle

Also learn all the different passing mechanics and learn where to use them.
Most of the time if you get thru the pressure it becomes easy. Also play patient and dont pass around the back to much....use player lock if you can and directed runs to confuse and pass and go....look for triangles and do stepovers as they help you boost past players.

I’ve tried everything and there are some games where I can’t even get my guys to pressure on stay forward, 100 depth, and constant pressure.
twice in champs today I had all those settings on and my strikers were waiting at the halfway line.
You can try everything and it will never be as expected or consistent so why even bother.
every single game is different so I’ve given up on any special tactics or formations because it never makes a difference. Same division , same amount of wl wins, to hell with EA
