EA FC 25 Steam Remote play together

Hi,

Did anybody have succes playing EA FC 25 via Steam remote play together?

I purchased EA FC 25 via Steam. On the Steam Store page it says remote play together is a function that should work for this game.

Yesterday my friend and I tried all evening to get this to work.

Technically I can invite my friend into the game. Once in the game tho, he has a very weird controller lay out. A = start and B = select for instance.

We played around with the controller settings but were not able to fix it.

I could reproduce the issue for myself by enabling steam input, it gives me the exact same problem. However, I am unable to disable steam input for my friends controller within the controller settings.

Within steam settings his Xbox controller is marked as an Xbox controller and the test works just fine
Within ea fc 25 controller settings, the controller settings look just fine but the input is just not correct

Other games work just fine with this controller.

It looks to me as if the Steam input is not working well within EA FC 25. If so, the steam page is misleading.

Any help is very much appreciated.
