They also need to look at the strictness of the referees in career mode.  I got 1 yellow card for tripping a player, the second time I did it, I got a straight red card.  

Then the CPU did it, and they got a straight red card, they really too quick in dishing out the cards.

I've also noticed slight lags between choosing your selection when negotiating a price or contract with a club or player.
