Afternoon all, it's been a while. Life got busy with work/exams and then I went travelling but now you've got me back. Who's still around here?
Just checked in after a 6 months absence or so. It's not like me though, I used to be going strong career mode wise throughout the full season, only stopping earliest a few weeks before release of a new game. However, this forum layout is no longer fit to post CM Stories IMO, so I'm considering my options whether to still explore and post Career Mode stuff, or if it's now a closed chapter for me.
Yeah, I get what you mean about that. Would you say CM being separate again would help? Or is the actual posting layout more of an issue?
Both. Separation from other topics is a must in order to find other CM stories and create this feel of a community, where we can read and comment on each other's explorations. If it's mixed with other topics it becomes harder to find them and continuously provide feedback for the writers. And with no feedback, writers usually tend to stop writing at some point.
The posting layout is also a problem. Before the recent update, one could easily skip to the latest page on a certain thread and continue to post in the chronological order. Now you have to scroll downwards for a long time, if you find yourself in a long thread. Which CM Stories happen to be, if one manages to invest in the same story over an extended period of time. The quick fix is obviously to sort the posts reversed, getting the newest posts first. But then the story don't come in a chronological order anymore. So both things have ruined it. But this - the layout etc - may be the biggest issue IMO.
