"Continue Player Career" option not available in main menu

When I load up the game I select Player Career and usually there is a "Continue Player Career" option in the drop down menu but since the most recent update that option isn't available

it just says "New Player Career" and "Load Player Career". So I press the "Load Player Career" option and it takes me to the screen to start a new career. I've uninstalled FC25 and reinstalled it and tried to repair it through the EA Launcher but nothing seems to work. I've gone through numerous YouTube videos and Reddit forums trying to see if someone has came across this same problem and I've come up with nothing.
