Player Career Intros: Can we please get an update?
Not to double up on another topic, but...
A few weeks ago, someone noted that Full Intros weren't rolling in Player Career. The "Answer" was to ticket it, so it could be investigated further. Since then, there's been an awful lot of chatter on the thread, and a lot of back and forth from players, but nothing substantive from the team.
I know some of this might come off in cold print as a little bit crusty, but that's absolutely not my intention. Player Career in this franchise, has historically been one of the best in the industry. Which is why it's so disappointing for players, when it's less than what it could be.
The boldface that follows is intended for readability, and not used in anger.
So, could we please get an official update on:
1. Are Full Intros even supposed to roll in Player Career in the first place?
The pre-launch hype made a big deal of this, so I assume the answer is Yes, but official confirmation would still be appreciated.
2. If they're supposed to be rolling, but aren't, is that fixable?
Again, it's been three weeks since we last heard anything official. I would guess, a priori, that three weeks is enough time to come up with a preliminary prognosis on whether or not this is fixable.
3. Assuming it is fixable, what's the priority for fixing it?
I understand that FC 25 is a huge program, with a lot of interrelated systems and routines. Getting everything to work perfectly, on multiple hardware platforms, is no mean feat. And issues like stability, basic global playability, and the like, are naturally going to be prioritized over presentation in a single mode. All that having been said, I think it's a fair question to ask, Where is this on the proverbial "To Do" list?
4. Assuming that it's fixable, and intended to be fixed, is a fix currently being worked on? If not, is there an anticipated start date for that fix?
Don't need the specific date with the latter, but knowing that there will be movement on this, would be much appreciated.
5. If a fix is in fact in the works, what's the best information that players should know about its progress?
Not asking for any company secrets or non-public information here, but some sort of status update would be very helpful. To wit, is it, looking promising, more complicated than expected, being coded in as we speak...or something else?
And, last but not least...
6. Is there a tentative, ballpark, wild guess, best case scenario, please don't hold us to it, date, when we might anticipate Full Intros in Player Career?
Some final thoughts:
What we have in Player Career, isn't bad by any means. I know some will disagree, but that's my opinion, and I'm sticking to it.. But the mode could be better with Full Intros, and I doubt anyone would disagree with that.
