Title: Ballon d'Or bug in FC 25 Career Mode after historic season

 I'm playing Career Mode in FC 25, season 2028-29 with my player. I scored 90 goals in about 50 matches, won the sextuple with Atlético Madrid, was the top scorer and MVP of the Champions League, scored 4 goals in the semis and also in the final. I also won the Golden Boot and Player of the Season awards.

I advanced to the next season, transferred to Manchester United, and when it was time to award the Ballon d'Or, it was given to Vinicius, who had nowhere near the same stats or trophies.

I had previously won the Ballon d'Or in a much less impressive season, which makes this even more confusing. This really seems like a bug, as the game completely ignores a historic season. Is this a known issue? Is there any way to prevent it in future saves?
