Mainly, there are some errors that, in the long term, could damage the gaming experience.
CPU Defense - The CPU, with a low defense tactical setting, is passive and watches the ball carrier enter the area, without intervening. Furthermore, it does not have a perception of opponents who do not have the ball, until that ball is passed.
It should be made more active and aware of nearby opponents (which happens if you send 2 teammates into pressing with the appropriate button).
Tactics/Roles - The inclusion of roles with respective focuses is excellent! You really feel the impact that one role has on another, but this makes the players too "rigid" in following their role regardless of the unfolding of the action or where the ball is. This can be linked to the discussion above.
In my opinion, different roles could be added for when you have the ball and when you don't have it.
Fouls/tackles - The inclusion of the tactical foul is nice because in some cases it is really useful and there are so many animations, from grabbing the opponent to placing an arm to make him fall or even tripping him. But the CPU never uses it!
In football there are an average of 10-15 fouls per game (higher divisions) and many more in the lower divisions. In FC25 there are really few.
But it is not the quantity of fouls called but the situations in which the opponent should commit a foul, and I'm not talking about the sliding tackles from behind included in FIFA23.
We need to have more tackles in midfield, more foul tackles in 1vs1, aerial tackles in the defensive phase. It would be nice to be able to really fight for every ball.
CPU Cursors – I find the addition excellent because the Cross and Shots parameters really have a notable impact, less so the aggression.
But we are not there at all with the two Tactical/Dynamic options! Mainly it would be nice to have an in-depth pitch note on the mechanics of both options, but having played a lot I can say that both solutions have problems.
There are excellent and varied games, but others in which the maneuver speed is low Basketball and the CPU does nothing but pass the ball from the midfield to the defense. We should find a better balance perhaps linked to the team's tactics, the way of attacking and defending.
Weather – Now finally playing with rain or sun is really different. With rain you feel all the weight of the ball, the difficulty of standing or making a sprint.
It would be nice to have dynamic weather that goes from cloudy to rain or vice versa, in order to make the games even more realistic and tactical. Then the rendering of the rain, visually speaking, is not beautiful. With the various cams you can't even see it.
Fans/Stadium Effects – Have you ever seen a Roma game? We have the best fans in the world (no offense to anyone) and they are often the twelfth man on the pitch.
Have you ever seen a game in Argentina? There is passionate, continuous, nagging fanfare.
