Legacy Eras?

I like the idea as well, but unlike other sports games, it would probably be extremely difficult if not impossible to execute. 

Because other sports games are focused on 1 league or competition, it is much easier to license and provide rosters from different eras. However in this case we have multiple leagues, multiple storylines, and thousands of past players that would be required to create a genuine experience. There are too many clubs that have had iconic seasons and runs to expect this to be undertaken. 

However, with the addition of manager career events, it was said that you can choose your favorite clubs to receive notifications on special challenges specific to them. Hopefully this will allow those moments to be relived, albeit with modern or custom squads. More detailed and expansive player creation would certainly help with this, giving you the freedom to actually create the rest of the 94/95 players that you want, and build out the story on your own.
