Make it make sense

This single issue has been the single downfall to how I defend in this game. I don't get it. Just now I'm playing, the striker is running through, I have 3 defenders there. My central defender is literally running side by side, slightly infront of the attacking player. I hit L1 thinking okay, he's clearly the player closest to the ball and the attacker, he will get the marker. 🤦🏽‍♂️ The thing switches to the left central defender. I hit it again, it switches to the right back, both of whom are no where near the ball or the attacker. The guy runs right through unchallenged and scores. Idk why tf I am playing this trash game.

And the right stick switching is even worse. Most of the time you will not switch to the player you are aiming for. It just picks a random player somewhere on the pitch. Each time a surprise who it will be.&nbsp;

This constantly happens to me. At least once per game. Tried every option in the game settings regarding switching players, none of them make sense. Since the franchise changed it's name, it seems like the goal is to screw up everything that used to work. Defense doesn't work anymore, tactics was removed, passing hardly works, through passes get stuck half way.&nbsp;

Nail on the head. When it was "FIFA", this was never a problem. You could tell who would be getting the marker almost every time. Now, it's Russian roulette. Somebody's gonna get it, but will it be the person you expect, we'll just have to pull the trigger and see 🤣🤣
