Manager Career Mode: Player Transfers and Release Clauses
For the most part, player transfers in Manager Career mode have been copied and pasted from early in the EA FC 24 game cycle. When signing players, they are still demanding 'Important' squad roles, even when existing players have a rating five to seven points higher. In addition, when pre-career mode setting are configured to 'Strict' and 'Realistic', clubs often incessantly argue over 100k-200k, or terminate negotiations over 50k. Also, when either paying for or allowing a transfer from the user club through a release clause, the assessment grade always default to 'F', regardless of the overall competence of the deal; an issue that pervading EA FC 24 for nearly a year, before finally partially patched in three separate Title Updates. For example, when the user chooses to pay a release clause to acquire a player, and the clause is the same value or less than the player's inherent value (calculation based on age, position, and player rating; market value), the default is always 'F'. Conversely, when a user squad player is purchased by another club, and the release clause is three times the value of the player, the same resultant occurs. Towards the end of EA FC 24, both of these scenarios would at least result in a transfer grade of 'D', 'C', or even 'B', dependent on the actual maximum selling price, if negotiations took place. If the Manager Career mode save is configured to 'No Sacking', then this is merely a visual glitch, however, for any other setting, the manager rating will deplete, and could result in an unnecessary sacking. Personally, the entire player transfer negotiation sequence requires an overhaul. High potential under 21 (U21) players are still allowed to transfer to user clubs for a pittance of their real-life valuation for transfer fee, and weekly wages.
