The reason Kaizer Chiefs, Orlando Pirates, and Mamelodi Sundowns were removed from EA Sports FC 25 comes down to licensing issues. EA simply didn’t secure the rights to include these clubs in the game, which means they couldn’t use their official names, kits, players, or logos. It’s not anything personal against South African teams—this kind of thing happens often when contracts expire or negotiations fall through. The same situation has affected teams from Brazil, Japan, and other regions in past FIFA titles. Without a formal agreement between EA and either the Premier Soccer League (PSL) or the individual clubs, the teams can’t legally be represented. So until new deals are made—possibly in future editions like FC 26—fans won’t be able to play as the PSL’s “big three” in the official game. For now, players on PC might have to turn to mods or community patches if they want to bring those teams back into the virtual pitch.
