2nd player for co-op requires additional ps plus account

Question

2nd player co-op for fut or seasons requires an additional playstation plus account? This was never an issue before and I know other players can still play with a 2nd player co-op, but I get either error or request to pay for 2nd playstation plus. Tried to delete and install again, but it's the same. Anyone have any advice?

I have the same problem, until 2025 june this was not a problem that means 2nd player without playstation plus account was able to join season mode as a guest, but in july 2025 , now it requires a playstation plus for 2nd player besides 1st player. Why does it require it differently than before? No one answer ?!&nbsp;

Figured out that if the first player activates the sharing / main console setting then it works fine.&nbsp;
