Controller input bugging in rivals/champs/draft ect

My controller will work perfectly fine in the menus, in rush/squad battles but whenever I play said modes in the title my controller will randomly stop working and my player will just wander off into the distance while none of my inputs register, I don't have any connection issues my internet is good and my controller is connected with a wire to my pc there's nothing wrong with it and it only happens on FC. I've turned off steam input and EA overlay while running the game on the EA app but it still happens, Any fixes?
