Game crashes mid game

Title pretty much says it. Game keeps crashing mid game causing multiple penalties for DNF. No rewards, nothing.

Game will lag, jitter then freeze, then straight back to windows. Can't play 2 games without the game crashing.

Drivers are updated, pc restarted, verified game files and reinstalled and yet the problem still persists. 

Game is unplayable.
