I'm trying to update an EA Sports app on my PlayStation, but I keep getting HTTP Status Code 403 and PS error code CE-40869-7.
The update won't proceed. I’ve already tried the troubleshooting steps provided by Sony, but the issue still persists.
Could you please help me resolve this?

Same issue can not play fc25.
I did erase whole game and tried several times to download but still have 403 error help me

Yesterday I had the same issue, but today it finally let me download.
Here is what I tried yesterday:
- I logged out and closed my console.
- When I opened it again, it was auto sign-in, but I still got the same error when I tried to download it again.
- So I gave up and went to sleep.
What I just did today?
- I turned on my PS4 console and reset my internet router.
- Then I went to Notifications > Downloads, deleted the item that failed.
- After that, I went back to the home screen, pressed the "Options" button on the EAFC25 game, selected "Check for Update", and [Go to Downloads]... Followed the Downloads step again, and this time, it worked!
So I think the key might be: after logging out or doing something that could help clear the cache, don’t forget to delete the failed download item before trying again.
Update: Logged on just now and well and behold. Game is redownloading. The only change I did since I posted was I downloaded and started playing eFootball. Lol
