Flying high objective not working

Have you tried beginner mode? and then use corner kick then L2 + shot.  It will be easier to get it done this way.  or  high cross to front player and do bicycle kick. 

Hey, this objective worked for me and my friends. You must be doing something wrong. I did with TOTY Bale item while having UCL Dreamchaser item in my starting 11.

Small tip here - Make sure you are playing with a player with an acrobatic playstyle and facing back to the goal. Don't do it directly from corners, use lob cross. See if this helps.
