I too exclusively play Manager Career and feel the same. It’s been a great experience so far and prob the best for several years. I’m actually not getting any fouling at all. Same settings as you. Ultimate and Authentic which should be a greater challenge but you can at least improve it with some slider work and if you use the weather/wind influence, it adds more of a challenge. The lack of fouling is a really big miss though. I want to take some free kicks and pens but I’m on match day 10 in Bundesliga and I’m not kidding you, I’ve not taken a single set-piece apart from corners.
Hey, I have a set up using the sliders and some of the control settings that I have found have made a slight difference in regard to fouls in game. Also making it all a bit more difficult. I will share on here soon.
I also have some more things for EA to look into, though I am not sure they actually are paying attention to any of the feedback.
