Please fix defending!

Agreed.

Everyone expects their attacking ai to have intelligence and help in the attack but that should go both ways. Defensive ai should have some intelligence and help in the defence, right now the defensive ai is the absolute dumbest It's ever been.

I'm a man united supporter and its like when I'm defending its like watching them in premier league totally shocking tackled a player 3 times before ball bounced back to there attacker its stupid no intelligence in the defenders AI at all 

I'm a West Ham fan and the ai defending on this game makes our back line look good!

I'm a football fan and I'm sick and tired of playing a game that looks like it but feels like something between tennis and basketball, with corresponding score lines.

In FC24, defenders were drawn to the ball like flies to a **bleep**, while in FC25 it looked more like butterflies to a **bleep**. They ran away from it. If '26 looks the same, I'm gonna pass this year

This year It's more like they just stand and watch the attacker, they'll shuffle a little but I've seen multiple videos and encountered it myself where the player controlled defender will miss a tackle and the ai defenders in range of the attacker just stand still and spin round watching the attacker go past...

Myself and others during the beta warned EA that the defence was SO bad that the majority would end up using drop back, deep defence, 5 at the back and only control their midfielders when defending because they were being punished for trying to defend properly...

That's already starting to show and with full release today there's going to be a lot more of that.

Nerf that agressive pressing as well. How come players instantly become faster? Someone with 76 pace managed to outpace an 87 easily. Also, that L1 + left stick (+R1) makes everyone move like prime Messi. Messi’s suddenly change of direction against Boateng made sensation back then. Now, every player can do that. Every one. On top of that, mocking Antony for rotating like a fidget spinner… apparently according to EA is the best way to move. Everybody has the same turning circle??????

The dribbling on this game needs some toning down, It's absolutely over powered and all anyone does 90% of the time now.

Even the ai in Squad battles knows It's ridiculously over powered and only dribbles.

With the massive nerf to defending and the completely over the top boost to dribbling this was bound to happen and again, many people warned EA of this during the beta...

Pass dude, this company is doomed. They’ll never learn. They baited us with that trailer. Only couch play could be fun otherwise it’s absolutely trash. Nothing good out of it.
