I definitely agree with that idea, just concerned about how the camera would operate, for example you in real life can look in a completely different direction than you are running in, and also away from the ball. Might be tough to execute without a headset, but if it can be done, I'm all for it.
And 90 minutes of REALISTIC couch play does sound like a nice way to end the day!

One workaround might be to make true first-person available only if the player has a head-tracking device (like PS VR2, a PS Camera, or compatible PC gear). That way, you could turn your head naturally, while everyone else still gets the classic chase-cam or broadcast views.A quick “re-center view” button would also help if the camera drifts.
