Defensive midfielder and Central midfielder

As defensive midfielder or Defensive CM whether it’s a holding, deep-lying or box to box or even CM’s with defensive roles. The DM’s should help the defense out, they just stand in the middle of the field will the opposition attacks, once I’m defending with a defender I don’t want to commit and come out of position and open the defense up, instead I would like my DM or my cm to be close to the defensive line or come to the defensive line to help. or at least stay in a defensive position in between the lines. Center half’s act as a third center back and help in possession or push a little up the field to support. They don’t at all. Please EA help look into this. Thank you very much
