Disconnected after winning rivals game

Winning a rivals game 6-1. Opponent paused around 80th minute and was barely playing the final minutes. Full time whistle game finished I was just pressing to continue so not really paying attention how far along I got when got a disconnect from EA servers message and removed from ultimate team still thought it may have counted as after full time but loading back into UT got the disconnect warning message. Something doesn't seem right about it but good to know my opponent was active on the forums recent *snip* so perhaps you could explain?
