The sad part is, we'll all fall for the same old spiel next year and EA will once again generate several billion dollars in revenue. I've been playing the series since Road to the World Cup '97. Last year, was the first time I didn't purchase the title on launch but ultimately caved in January when it was on heavy discount. I agree with most users on this forum. The game is an utter mess - a clear copy of FC 25 but with worse dribbling mechanics (I'm talking about left stick dribbling, L1 dribbling...) and worse defense. There is absolutely no creativity to speak of. You cannot cross the ball for headers. Corners result in counter attack goals at least 90% of the time if you don't do the short pass. I play Clubs mostly and while I can't speak for FUT, the scripting in clubs is simply disgusting. If you miss a clear opportunity in your opponent's half, the very next play in your own box will result in a goal. 45th min + goals are a dime a dozen both for you and against you. The most egregious script is, and this is now several fifas in a row, when your opponent gets a red card, somehow their team gets all the advantage. I can't even describe how many games my squad is comfortably winning, playing composed only to have the other team get a red card and then in the blink of an eye, the whole system turns in their favour. All of a sudden we can't put 3 passes together and inevitably lose the game, usually in the 90th min + ofc. The input delay is beyond frustrating as well. It sucks because the initial build of the game was a massive step forward for this franchise and in the span of 6 weeks or so, they've managed to nerf the game in every conceivable way. So much for "listening" to the players, EA.
