Player Career Mode AI – Extremely Poor and Unrealistic Behavior

I’m writing to express my frustration with the AI in Player Career Mode, specifically the behavior of my own team. The AI-controlled teammates make incredibly poor decisions, especially when building out from the back. They often push the ball toward the sideline and then attempt a ridiculous cross-field pass that usually ends up with the opponent — frequently resulting in completely avoidable goals.

The attacking AI is also a major issue. They constantly attempt first-touch passes in situations where it makes no sense, often giving the ball away without any pressure. These decisions are completely unrealistic and ruin the experience.

This has been a problem in multiple versions of FIFA/EA FC, and it’s beyond frustrating. Every year we pay full price for what feels like the same game, with old bugs still present and new ones introduced. It honestly feels like no real effort is put into improving the core gameplay — especially in single-player modes like Career.

I don’t expect much to change, but I’ve had enough of staying silent. Hopefully one day a serious competitor will enter the market and force EA to actually work on the game that brings in billions.
