Request to Address Cronus Zen Cheating and Cross-Platform Reporting Issues

Dear EA Sports Team,

I am reporting on behalf of several enthusiastic players that are sincerely in love with the EA Sports FC franchise but are becoming extremely annoyed and disappointed with the rising issue of cheating through hardware, specifically the use of Cronus Zen, Cronus Max, and other third-party adapters.

They are also used extensively in online matches to be unfairly advantaged; i.e. having perfect timed shots, zero recoil, auto capabilities or unnatural responsiveness without you and your existing anti-cheat systems noticing. This has discouraged the gameplay as an unsatisfying experience to the regular players who makes efforts to get better through fair means.

The worst situation is that there is no proper means of reporting cheaters in the various platforms.
In case a player on PlayStation or Xbox has to deal with a cheater on a different platform (e.g., PC), the in-game reporting system will not allow us to report a cross-platform case. This renders it virtually impossible to do anything meaningful against offenders even in the case we have video evidence or replays.

We would like EA Sports to make the following improvements:

  1. Stronger Detection Methods
Implement higher input behavior analysis that is able to identify non human timing pattern and repetitive same skill sequence.
Machine learning models to determine players with reaction times and input frequency that can not be achieved by human players.
Periodically upgrade your anti-cheat to be aware of hardware adapters such as Cronus Zen that use controller input emulation.
    2. Improved Reporting Tools
Introduction Add a Using External Device category to the report menu.
Allow reporting within cross-platforms, which allows reporting suspicious activity irrespective of the opponent platform.
Independently add a short replay or telemetry record to every report to assist your review staff.
     3. Communication and Transparency.
Publicly issue Fair Play Reports at the end of every quarter detailing steps being made against the cheaters of hardware and software.
Show a small in-game message that it is a form of cheating to utilize third-party devices and may lead to a lifetime ban.
     4. Fair Enforcement
Use temporary bans or shadow bans on suspicious accounts prior to taking permanent measures, to minimize false positives.
Check flagged accounts when needed and particularly where detection tools indicate consistent anomalies.

We realize that it is technically difficult to make hardware cheats, yet this problem is now tarnishing the competitiveness of EA Sports FC. This has discouraged many honest gamers to continue participating in ranked matches since they always encounter players who play like robots and are not realistic.

We encourage EA to address this issue with seriousness, and to rebuild credibility in fair play, and safeguard the integrity of the FC community.

Your support and interest in the players who love your game help the players and thank you.

Sincerely,
S2MGG

  • The funny thing is with these dim wits that cheat is they actually believe they are good at the game. They are sad little individuals who are just the scumbags of society.

Anyone sitting there after any kind of victory while cheating are just scum. While it is EA's job to get these people off the game or at least force them to play properly within the boundaries of the game.

These kids/idiots don't realise what it was like back in the day sitting for hours trying to complete levels on games and beating bosses.

They have to resort to hacks or hardware to plug in their controllers for an advantage on a video game. Would you trust them sitting next to your misses for the evening?

Anyone that cheats is scum and are an embarrassment to the game community.

  • I am always facing the dilemma to erase every player i have and search for another game 😔

I am very close doing it many times, eventually that time will come i am not enjoying the game at all, only frustration and nerves!

We have to face cheaters with cronus zen and we also have to face such a bad matchmaking system the game has

It's so easy for them to detect non human chain reaction that scripts offer but they don't give a s**'"* so much money behind all this cheating devices i am starting to believe that EA takes percentage of profits!

If you don't want to loose those cheaters make a matchmaking mechanism that will put them to play eachother.

This world is full of trash even simple things like rewarding legitimate people seems utopia.

They learn kids from early stages how to cheat to achieve their goals.

It’s honestly unacceptable that after all the money players spend on EA Sports FC — from buying the full game to spending on Ultimate Team points — we are still facing constant cheaters using devices like Cronus Zen and other hardware mods.

If EA cannot control this situation or provide a fair and balanced competitive environment, then the company should refund players for a broken online experience. We pay for a fair game, not for a system where cheaters dominate without consequence.

We’ve reported, we’ve waited, and nothing changes.
Every week, more people stop playing because they’re tired of facing players who abuse scripts, mods, or external devices. The silence and inaction from EA make it look like the company simply doesn’t care about the community that keeps this franchise alive.

EA owes its loyal players transparency, protection, and accountability.
If you can’t fix the problem, at least acknowledge it and compensate the community that continues to support you every year.

We deserve better. We paid for better.
