Why aren’t new Classic XI Teams available in Online Friendlies?

I bought EA Sports FC 2026 specifically to play with the new Classic Teams with a friend. Based on previous games, I fully expected these teams to be available in Online Friendlies.

But when we tried to play, not only are the new Classic Teams missing, even the classic teams that used to be in older games aren’t available online anymore. It’s really confusing why Classic Teams were added but can’t be used in Online Friendlies at all.

I expected this feature to work the same way it has in past titles, and it’s really frustrating to find out it’s not supported. EA, can we please get an explanation or an update on this? A lot of us were excited for this and it’s honestly disappointing.
