Clubs ping

Hi, I’ve been having very bad ping whenever playing with a friend from India. I’m aware the ping would be high but not 300 high. Usually I get 160 ping play from the uk on Indian servers in past fifa/fc games. Also when it’s just us 2 the ping isn’t relative to who’s captain so that means one game he’s playing on uk servers and another game I’m playing on 300 ping.

Is this a common issue?
