FC 26 EA Anti Cheat wont let me start the game and i tried everything
My FC26 keeps crashing on startup. I own the game on steam and when i launch it it crashes giving me a memory dump file. I ran the memory dump through windbg to analyze it but its alsways the same error which clearly has something to do with the anti cheat. I have tried reinstalling the anti cheat, deleting everything related to the anti cheat and reinstalling the game completely but its still giving me the error. I know its most likely an anti cheat issue because when i bypass the anti cheat the game works completely normally but of course i cant go online that way. I have disabled everything to do with my anti virus and firewall but its still not working. I have attached a notepad file of the crash after running it through windbg because it doesnt let me attach the dmp file the anti cheat generated. Also attached my DxDiag file.
Hi ByRamichu , thanks for that update. If you ran mods or other software that left files that EA did not ship (like Cryptbase.dll) in the FC game directory, it can cause this problem.
Please ensure you've removed all such files from the game directory before trying to launch the game, as these kinds of mods are incompatible with Javelin. Any attempts to modify core Window DLLs with unsigned ones can cause this kind of error.
We'll see if we can work with the team to catch this exception and provide a helpful dialog box in the future.
For anyone else reporting this crash, please provide those .dmp files to me (feel free to upload them to Google Drive and DM me a link here on the forums) so I can rule out any other issues.
BlackBrudas it is intended that eaanticheat.sys is not visible to you on the system, it is not left there permanently and only exists while the anti-cheat is running. We intentionally do not have any part of the anti-cheat running on your machine when Javelin is closed and the game is closed. Please send me your .dmp files so I can take a further look.
Thanks and good luck, have fun in the game!
