I’ve been experiencing an issue when playing FC26 on the PS5 Slim — after playing for a while, a notification appears saying the PS5 is overheating. I’m not the only one facing this problem; many other players are experiencing the same issue when playing FC26 on the PS5 Slim.
Please, EA, kindly optimize the game further for the PS5 Slim.
The only fix I saw to it was to only play the game with my Air conditioner on..anytime I play the game with my AC on, it doesn't happen but all other games I can play without my AC on
Community ManagerIt sounds like your console is overheating. Have you opened it up and cleaned it out?
Hello just had the same issue today
I cleaned my ps5 slim and everything made sure to check the vents used compressed air cleaned the PSU cleaned the heat sink and also checked the Liquid Metal everything looks alright but when I boot the game my fans ramp up and show me my ps5 is to hot (over heating) especially in career mode their is literally a Reddit posts on this showing many players facing the same issues

This issue is not foreign issue bro. You can check in the many forums that similar problem appears in eafc 25 in PS5 slim. Dont buy eafc series for PS5 slim. They will not hear our complaint too
Same issue for me, and I noticed it happens mostly at the menus. Its only happening in Fc26 and not in any other game.

I’m having the exact same issue. My PS5 Slim is brand new and every other game runs perfectly fine. This started happening the very first day I installed FC26. What’s even stranger is that the system triggers the overheating notification despite the console being physically cool to the touch. It takes about 3 minutes from booting the game to a forced shutdown. This clearly seems to be an optimization bug rather than a hardware fault.
I did have this problem until I read that the PS5 should not be used standing up. I did the whole cleaning process and removed all games only to find no change. The CPU gets hot and the liquid silver heatsink then moves to one end due to gravity. I had to watch a video and buy some liquid heatsink ( £15 ) and about 1 hours work. I was sceptical but it worked perfectly and i now use the PS5 in Horizontal only.
