FC26 doesnt launch
wont launch past splash screen, i've tried every fix i could find in the internet. Eventviewer gives this error, The game fc26.exe exited unexpectedly, exit code: 0x186AA.

i tried it a few times and it always gives these two.

Completely reinstall the EA App. Don't just uninstall it. After it's installed, delete these:
- C:\Program Files\Electronic Arts\EA Desktop
- C:\ProgramData\Electronic Arts
- %LocalAppData%\Electronic Arts
- %AppData%\Electronic Arts
- EA Background Service (check in Services for this. It may or may not be there)
Launch the EA App directly and check for it to open normally. Can you browse your library and click on FC26 or does the launcher crash?
Temporarily uninstall or completely disable these. Also, make sure they are not running Task Manager
- Razer Synapse
- MSI Afterburner
- RTSS
- Discord overlay
- NVIDIA Overlay
- GeForce Experience overlay
- Overwolf
- ReShade
- OBS
- Medal
Close these:
- OVRServer_x64.exe
- OVRService
- Meta Quest Link
Disable the Meta Virtual Monitor and reboot
Under Windows Security, temporarily disable Controlled Folder Access
Try bypassing Steam. Go to ...\Steam\steamapps\common\EA SPORTS FC 26\ and run fc26.exe
If none of this helps, get me a WER report. Look in C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\WER\ReportArchive or C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\WER\ReportQueue. Look for a folder that starts with AppCrash_EASteamLauncher... There should be a file named Report.wer. Just attach it to a response.
none of them seemed to do anything, so here's the wer report, i had to change it to a text file since i couldnt attach it to the reply for some reason.

Thanks for the WER file. Here's what I'd suggest.
- Disable Steam Overlay and EA In-Game Overlay completely, then retry the game. The WER file shows both Steam overlay and EA IGO were loaded when the launcher crashed.
- Close or uninstall Meta Quest Link/Meta Virtual Monitor for a test boot. Your DxDiag shows the Meta virtual display driver is active, and that kind of display injection is a common launcher-breaker.
- Quit Razer Synapse/Cortex and any overlay tools like RTSS, Discord overlay, GeForce overlay, Overwolf, etc. Your system has several Razer filter drivers loaded.
- Clear/reinstall the EA App and its cache, then launch EA App standalone first. Since the crash happens in EASteamLauncher.exe before the game starts, this is worth doing even if the game files are fine.
Let me know how it goes. nothing works as usual.
i reckon somethings wrong with the files in the game since everytime i repair the game EAAnticheat.GameServiceLauncher.dll, EAAnticheat.GameServiceLauncer.exe and preloader_l.dll are redownloaded.- EA_Aljo
Try launching the through the EA App directly instead of using Steam. Then, try the game with all virtual display/audio devices removed.
Also, is you can get one more WER from after disabling the Steam overlay and Meta/Razer, that may help.
i've been trying through the ea app, and even turning off every virtual device doesnt work.
i cant send you a recent WER because my computer doesnt let me open the folders containing them.
this is the most recent one i can access and it is already a few hours old so i dont know if i had disabled the steam overlay and meta/razer stuff.- EA_Aljo
Thanks. Try a Clean boot of Windows next. Disable every non-Microsoft startup service. Especially these:
- Razer
- Nahimic
- MSI
- RGB software
- Logitech
- ASUS Armoury
- Corsair iCue
If it starts up, you can re-enable these one at a time to find out which is causing the crash.
