FPS dropping to below 10 when entering Ultimate Team

Been playing without issues on my pc for the last few days. Today, after booting up the game, entering ultimate team the game lags hard going into 5 fps region even in menus! Even exiting UT doesn't solve the problem. Restarting the game the fps goes back to normal only up to the point before entering Ultimate Team. Please help!
