Input delay and game lagging(after the first half) PC

 Issue: up to 5-10 seconds input delay in every mode. in first few games, game drops to 5 fps in halftime and does not fix itself until I quit and rejoin ultimate team repeatedly.

ALL MODES but not rush and squad battles

After the update from 07-04-2026, I encountered the following problem: while playing the Legendary Legacy mode after 10 minutes of playing time, I noticed a delay in the gamepad's response, that is, literally: I press the pass button - the pass scale fills up, and the pass itself is given after 5 seconds.

I switch to the player with the right stick or R1 - switching takes place in 5 seconds. I didn't change the game settings, I play with a ping at 20-25, but I've been playing with this ping since September and everything was fine. However, after patch 1.5.3, things got really bad. But it's worth noting that there is no such problem in Rush mode, but there is a problem in 1-on-1 online game modes.

I bought the game yesterday (not my first FC game on PC) and whenever I get in a game, the players move in slow motion (although the crowd and other animations seem to run at perfect FPS). It doesn't feel like fps drops as the fps is good, but the players move in slow-motion and it makes the game very unplayable. I managed to fix it by capping my FPS at 30 in the game settings, but this is not acceptable. For the record, it's not a hardware issue because my PC specs are well above the minimum and recommended for this game, in all areas.

I bit the bullet and played with 30 FPS but whenever I go in a multiplayer game, whether it's with a friend or a random opponent, there is severe input lag, like 3-5 seconds of delay. The FPS is "okay" as in it's not moving in slow motion (but only because it's capped at 30 FPS, if I make it higher, the slow motion returns, this time with input delay with it).

I updated my drivers, lowered my graphical settings to low, tweaked the NVIDIA settings, and many things that I saw people suggest online from about 5-6 months ago. Still nothing.

The game is unplayable and I hope there is a fix for this. I searched online and saw that a lot of people have had the same problems when the game first came out and after a few patches, and I saw some more complains a few days ago on the forums here.

Hope it gets fixed or a solution is found. I have tried everything.

I have a big issue on EA Sports FC 26 (PC).

Specs: i7-12650H, RTX 2050, 32GB RAM 

Problem:

• At first Game starts fine then around 60–70 min or after 1–2 matches → huge input delay
• now its instant
• Controller responds 3–5 seconds late maybe even more
• Players move on their own
• Can’t even pause properly
• Gets worse every match

Tried:

• Lower settings, FPS lock, VSync
• DX11 / DX12
• Reinstall configs, clear cache
• Update drivers
• Disable overlays
• Power settings

Nothing fixed it.

Looks like CPU / anti-cheat / threading issue.

Anyone found a real fix?

Summary of the issue: I have massive 3-4 second input delay since the last update. I recorded a video where you can hear my controller button clicks through the microphone. You can clearly see the huge gap between the sound of the click and the action on screen. I tested this with both DualSense Bluetooth and Wired mode; the delay is identical in both. I am playing on Steam, and this issue started strictly after the latest patch. It is not a hardware or connection issue.

how many months have been and we are dealing with the same **bleep** issue. fix it already!!

nothing works. im the in same boat as well cant play anything other than rush because of the input delay
