It freezes just before the menu screen loads up

Hi there. Let's see if power cycling your modem/router and Nintendo Switch will help. For the modem/router, unplug it for 2 minutes, then plug it back in.
For your Switch, hold down the power button until the menu pops up. Then, choose Turn Off. Wait at least 30 seconds to turn your console on. Then try playing again.

EA_Aljo hello if you read my messages , he has already tried all this , it’s nothing to do with his switch or the router he has tried all of these things your going to suggest it’s the same story !! everything else is fine , he has played a game of seasons last night it’s just ultimate team , it just freezes on the stadium background the picture is right there on the forum

As a test, have him change his connection to use a mobile hotspot. Restart the console and try again.

Just to make sure, did he try connecting using a mobile hotspot instead of his normal connection?

I can't even enter to ultimate team, an update is available and required to enter UT, but there is no title update prompt or message.
