Awful AI Slow Gameplay

I’m curious does anyone from EA actually play the game and have fun?

Every game is the same, AI defending, players only controlling their CDM, through ball spamming, getting penalised for attempting to manual defend, passes going in the complete opposite direction to where they were aimed, so many bounce backs, clear scripting of games and so much more. 

In my opinion play styles are not the issue, the lack of manual input required when playing is the killer of the game. 

Not only is the gameplay monotonous and boring, the game has had bugs non-stop. Objectives not counting towards the season pass and most recently, getting disconnected from the RTTF event so you run out of attempts and can’t get rewards. 

I tried to reach out to EA about getting attempts reinstated, they admitted it was a bug at their end and will try to fix it, told me to keep an eye on social media and post on this forum, before closing my case. Where is the acknowledgement and compensation for all the time wasted for nothing with the RTTF event?

So many people are quitting this game. This is such a shame, as FC holds a place in all of our hearts, growing up playing every version for over 2 decades. When will EA actually offer support and communicate with the community?

    Agree 100% percent. 

    It’s impossible to play this game right now. The day before yesterday I was one match away from reaching Division 1, and today I’m almost getting relegated from Division 3. I’ve suddenly lost the ability to play… I can’t move my players properly — it feels like I’m controlling bronze players with 40 pace.

    Most of the time I can predict exactly what my opponent is going to do, but I simply can’t move my players in time because of the constant delay. And when I do manage to close down, the ball either magically bounces back to the opponent or goes straight through my player.

    Not to mention that nowadays about 80% of players use the exact same playstyle: they control the CDM and let the AI do everything else, defending with nine players inside the box. Meanwhile, I’m trying 20 times to score a goal, and they get one or two counterattacks where my players just stand still and watch — and of course, they score.

    Defending manually feels impossible due to the constant delay, even when I’m playing on 10 ms ping.

    Honestly, this game has become nothing but frustrating. The enjoyment it used to bring me just isn’t there anymore. Maybe I’m just an old-school player, but if this is what the game is about now — controlling only one player and letting the AI do the rest — then count me out
