Coming from a background of pc gaming like dota and cs these games there is an actual way of improving on the game for example cs there are actual training regiments but ive been playing this game for the past 3 years i really have no clear way of understanding how to improve please if there is someone here that can explain would be great
The ways to improve are in how you defend -- timing your tackles, tracking the runs, intercepting passes, and learning to 2nd man pressure without moving your defensive line. Secondly, the way you build up; how you pass and what type of pass you use does help a lot. Lastly, the way you finish; what type of shot you take will also be a crucial step in ensuring you are able to score your chances.
You don't want to play this game blind and then be disappointed you weren't able to win.
There is definitely a meta in this game; some players work better than others, and you abusing the meta is ultimately what will determine your level of success in this game.
play squad battles until you are able to win against the teams rated between 70 and 75 on legendary. After you can do that then start playing rivals and tournaments, etc.
Record ur games and watch them back, i find it really easy to critique my gameplay and see what i do wrong and what i can do better.
In general the best tip ive been give is to "go where the space is, not where u want to go." I think a lot of times we try to force plays and once we lose the ball, the enemy team is 1-2 passes away from an open goal.
Also this game is very left stick and R1 dribbling heavy so do that, most opponents wont press you and will wait for the perfe t tackle so move it around. Always remeber that when we defend we feel the pressure more cuz we dont want to get scored on, the opponent will feel the same when u have the ball.
