Luna Objective a Step Backwards

So after a few player objectives where you could play Squad Battles or Rivals to complete them,  you have to play both for the Luna objective.  I don't get it.  Trying to alienate your player base?

Forget it,  EA, I have no interest in playing online.  I just won't play instead.
