Players in team feeling like bronzes after half time after winning by a lot

Dear EA FC,

Why do my players feel like 99 rated and so quick against my opponent and as I build up a lead like 4-0 they start to gradually become slow and not very active.

This has just happened to me again as I lost 5-4 while leading 4-0 in the 1st half. 

EA denies that they have scripting but everyone in this game believes there is. Bare in mind this is Division 6 not Division 10 or whatever
