SBC content simply not good enough?

There are always lots of discussion on how certain aspects of content on this game isn't good enough

Like evolutions as a prime example. Feedback is given and you see it written in detail on pitch notes on how they will look into it and how it will improve in future.

Why doesn't the same ever apply for SBC content?

Checking SBC content at 6pm on a daily basis used to be exciting. (Leaks have partly killed that) But you used to log on and see a nice player SBC to improve your team, some nice upgrade SBCs, a flashback, league sbcs and so on.

Why do we get none of this anymore?

Today is a Thursday, a month into the game during a relatively big promo. It's 6pm, what have we got...

A chemistry style pick.

Yes, a chemistry style pick.

The same chemistry styles that are available for 900 coins on the market.

SBC content over the last year especially has been nothing short of atrocious.

Outside of POTM cards which are cards not picked by the content team themselves, there is nothing ever released outside of the bare minimum.

We get the same challenge sbcs for a pack which has a store value of 5k that has a probability of packing something at basically 0%

We get the same marquee matchups release on a Thursday like we have had for the last 10 years.

We get the same player sbcs that are in line with the lowest rated promo player that are worthless in packs.

We get the same upgrade sbcs that we had in a two week rotation that no one cared about two weeks previous.

The introduction of Streamlined SBCs has been extremely poor too.

Why is there a system in place which rewards users with packs back if you don't complete the SBC, but if you complete the SBC, you don't get packs back?

Surely that is the wrong way around?

Anything I've missed be sure to add to this thread, thanks.

  • I agree 1000 percent - it’s like the SBCs are being set for last years pack and card distribution … this year there are no daily bronze, silver and gold packs where you can essentially create 30 bronze cards from a single bronze, 30 silver the same way, and then turn them into 30 or so common gold cards … that basic fodder for the SBCs no longer exists, so what should be simple marquee matchups or event puzzles become quite expensive and difficult to complete.

This time last year I would have had maybe 100 each of bronze and silvers, probably more to be honest, which would have made these daily/minor SBCs a bit of fun to do with fodder cards … but there is no fodder anymore, and I have maybe 5 bronze and the a couple of silvers … the marquee matchups that require silvers or bronzes cost more than the ones that require golds.

There absolutely seems to be a disconnect between the “pricing” of these SBCs and what players are currently able to access via packs … which is pretty much nothing at the moment,
