FC27 Online Seasons Rage-Quit Bug – Why Is This Still Not Fixed?
I have deliberately held off buying FC27 because I wanted confirmation that the longstanding rage-quit/disconnection problem in Online Seasons had finally been fixed.
Unfortunately, reports from FC27 players on PS5 indicate that exactly the same problem is still occurring.
The issue is simple:
You are winning an Online Seasons match → your opponent quits/disconnects → you are not awarded the win or the three points.
This isn't a new problem. It was repeatedly reported in previous versions of FC, including FC26, and there are now players reporting it again in FC27.
What I find particularly frustrating is that EA has already demonstrated that it has the ability to improve quit-result handling in Ultimate Team. Yet Online Seasons appears to have been left with the same longstanding problem.
Why?
A competitive online mode cannot be considered fair if a losing player can quit and potentially deny the winning player the result they have earned. It also gives people an obvious incentive to rage-quit.
There have been numerous complaints about this issue. How many reports does EA need before Online Seasons receives some attention?
I'm not interested in Ultimate Team. Online Seasons is the mode I play, and players who prefer Seasons should not be treated as second-class customers simply because we don't participate in Ultimate Team.
I haven't bought FC27 because of this issue. I'm certainly not going to pay for the latest version simply to encounter the same bug again.
Could somebody from EA please give Online Seasons players a meaningful answer:
1. Does EA acknowledge that this problem is still occurring in FC27 Online Seasons?
2. Is it currently being investigated?
3. Will EA implement a system whereby, if an opponent quits/disconnects while losing, the player remaining in the match is correctly awarded the win?
Please don't respond with generic connection troubleshooting. This is specifically about an opponent quitting while losing and the winning player subsequently not receiving the correct result.
EA clearly has the capability to address quit-result handling.
Online Seasons players would simply like to know why, after repeated reports across successive games, this issue is still here.
