Got a loss even tho the opponent quit at 0-0

Had a brief, quick game on Daily Knockout Tournament on FC 27. Opponent quit at 0-0 after winning a corner kick. I went straight back the ultimate menu, to see that they got a 4-1 win.  This happened on Xbox series S.
