Kuwait / Middle East: FC 27 ping increased by ~30ms for multiple player

FC 27 – Major Ping Increase Affecting Kuwait and Gulf Players

Hello EA,

I would like to report a serious connection and ping issue affecting players in Kuwait and the Gulf region, and I believe this needs to be investigated by the FC networking team rather than treated as an individual connection problem.

Over the past few days, many players in Kuwait have experienced a significant increase in ping when playing FC 27.

For example:

  • A Kuwaiti player who normally had around 20 ms is now getting around 50 ms.
  • Another player who normally had around 30 ms is now getting around 60 ms.
  • My own ping increased from around 50 ms to 80 ms.

The important point is that this is not happening only to me.

I have also seen the same issue reported by well-known and competitive Kuwaiti FC players and streamers, on both PC and PlayStation. Multiple players who previously had significantly lower and stable ping are now experiencing an increase of approximately 30 ms.

I have already tested different solutions on my side, including:

  • Different internet connections.
  • Mobile internet.
  • Network/router troubleshooting.
  • NoPing/routing services.

The problem remains.

This makes it very difficult to believe that the issue is simply caused by one player’s router, ISP configuration, Wi-Fi, or home network.

There are also recent reports from players in the Bahrain/Middle East region experiencing serious ping instability in FC 27, including large increases and fluctuations during matches.

EA currently lists Dammam and Manama among its FC game data center locations. Because of this, I would like the FC networking team to investigate whether there has been a recent change in:

  1. Routing between Kuwait/Gulf ISPs and the FC game data centers.
  2. Game Data Center selection for players in Kuwait.
  3. Routing to the Dammam and Manama data centers.
  4. Any recent network or server-side changes affecting Gulf players.
  5. Whether Kuwaiti players are being routed to a different or farther data center than before.

This is especially important because the issue appears to affect multiple players across different platforms and different internet connections, rather than one specific household.

Please investigate this at the networking/server-routing level instead of providing the standard router troubleshooting steps. The evidence suggests that this may be a regional issue affecting Kuwait and potentially other Gulf countries.

I would appreciate it if this report could be forwarded to the appropriate FC networking/server team for investigation.

Thank you.
