PS5 Career Mode Menus Move and Select Options by Themselves

I’m experiencing a serious issue with EA SPORTS FC 27 on PS5 where the Career Mode menus control themselves without any input from me.

When I start a new Manager Career and select a team, the game takes me to the manager creation screen, where the menus begin scrolling up and down and randomly selecting options by themselves.

This also happens during transfer negotiations. The game can accept or reject offers automatically, start contract negotiations, or put players up for loan without me pressing anything. It feels like the game is constantly receiving inputs that I haven’t made.

At first, I thought my controller was faulty, so I spent £60 on a new controller. However, the exact same problem continued with the new one.

I’ve tested my controller in other games and other FC game modes, including Ultimate Team, and it works perfectly fine. The problem seems to occur specifically in Manager Career Mode.

I’ve also installed the latest game updates, but the issue is still happening.

This is extremely frustrating because it can make important decisions without my permission and potentially ruin my Career Mode save.

Has anyone else experienced this issue on PS5? Can EA investigate whether this is a game bug and provide a fix?

Troubleshooting already attempted:

  • Replaced my controller with a new one.
  • Tested the controller in other games and FC game modes.
  • Installed the latest available game updates.

    I don’t think they really know how that is happening lol. Been like this since the start.

    To be more specific: it happens regularly when I'm touching the lower 50% of the touchpad of the controller.

    It also happens sometimes when I don't touch anything, but maybe that helps you finding the problem.

    I have the same problem, actually since day one of this game. So far nothing has been fixed. Also on PS5.

    And to Barry's idea: I do not have any other USB devices connected, so there's nothing I can do. 

    I have tried different controllers and different games, but there I had no problems, so this is definitely a bug in ea fc27.

     

    Please make sure you are getting it fixed soon. I payed a lot of money for this game and so far I can't play the game mode that is the most interesting to me. EA_Barry​

    Check if removing any other USB devices has any effect, particularly any other input peripherals, joysticks, steering wheels etc. Thanks, EA_Barry.
