I just had another crash playing with Real Sociedad in the “Following La Liga” event. This is the fifth crash in four days. Last night the Weekend Challenge match also crashed on me. These most recent incidents mark the first time the app has closed on me in a match that wasn’t H2H against another user which makes this new instability all the more concerning—because it can apparently happen at any time and in any game mode.
As I’ve previously stated, I am completely up to date with my OS. Additionally, I’ve been clearing my cache daily. This most recent La Liga crash occurred less than 12 hours since I last cleared my cache. I currently have over 20 GB of free storage on my iPad, and I keep all other apps closed when I’m playing FC Mobile. My home network is not the issue. I regularly play FC 25 on it (which I would assume is a far more demanding game in terms of data) and I experience no problems (by which I mean ZERO—ever). So, I think I’ve ticked all of the suggested items listed except for trying a different network (because I don’t currently have access to another one that isn’t a slower, less secure public network like Starbucks).
Where does that leave us? After originally reporting this issue at the beginning of the Code Neon event it did seem to resolve after the first week (which, if memory serves, coincided with a minor content update) only to re-emerge with the launch of the Songkran event (another content update). I don’t think this is purely coincidental. Has EA looked at what went out in those updates for clues as to what might be causing the instability on iPads?
I realize EA has not been able to replicate the reported conditions, but I wonder whether it is using accounts that mirror mine (or others) who have experienced these issues. For example, I’m a very active player (both in terms of matches/events played, but also in the transfer market). I don’t have a clue how or if this could contribute to the instability, but I would welcome someone from EA to take a look at my account (I previously provided my ID to EA_Pulsar) and provide feedback on whether this might be contributing to my issues. If, for example, I need to clear my cache twice a day in order to avoid further issues I’d grudgingly do so to avoid the frustration these crashes cause, but I (and the other users experiencing these problems) would obviously rather avoid the time and inconvenience if this is something that can be fixed by the developers.
Four crashes in the last 30 mins—three times in a row while trying to complete the final round of the weekend challenge, and then once in Manager Mode. I cleared my cache just a few hours ago (even though it seems to make little difference), but I cleared it yet again (because what else can I do?) after the weekend challenge kept crashing the app. I then was able to complete one match in Manager Mode before the second Manager Mode match crashed it again. As a result of that forfeit I was relegated from the league I was in, so I’m getting more than a little fed up at this point. I’ve got plenty of storage space on my device and I’m running nothing else except FC Mobile when all this is happening.

Same thing happening with me. Multiple app crashes over the past week. Deleted app and reinstalled. Still getting crashes when playing any type of match. Also playing on 9th generation iPad, using latest iOS. This is getting very frustrating. Playing events, winning matches to advance in the events, and then app crashes. Glad it’s not just happening to me, and clearly shows a pattern of an issue somewhere in the game. Hope EA can sort this issue out, as ruining experience of the game

So, I went 24 hours with no problem and then entered a league tournament match and the app just got stuck. I’m including a screenshot. Since it’s a VSA-style match the action usually just starts right away, but in this case my striker has the ball at his feet, but won’t move or kick the ball. The “kickoff” button is weirdly present (which is never usually there) and the players are all subtly “bobbing” in place (like they’re breathing), so it’s not as though the screen is frozen, but they are totally unresponsive to any inputs. Also, there is no timer, so the game appeared as though it would just remain like this I definitely. I waited a couple of minutes just to see if the 1:30 timer might still be running in the background, but ultimately had to force quit the app. And, as usual, I got stuck with a forfeit\loss.
EA, when are you guys going to accept that there is a deeper problem going on here? The app is not performing the way it’s supposed to on iPads (at least 9th generation ones anyway) and we’ve been reporting it for weeks. I know you say you haven’t been able to replicate the results yourselves, but then where does that leave us. We, your customers, keep having problems. Are you making any further attempt to resolve them, or are you just done with us?

Two more crashes. Both of these were in Premier League Club Challenge matches where the app closed mere seconds into the game. So, now I’ve been knocked out of that competition for the day through no fault of my own. I even cleared my cache in between the first and second match. It obviously made no difference. 😞😡
