One thing I want to underline is shards system gave the user a CHOICE to choose and work for a player card/ovr of their liking.
Drafts is as far as it can get to this. To me drafts is unworkable even if the price is lowered and odds increased just for that. It can be a supplementary system to replace packs but not Shards itself.
I used to do strategic spends till before Captains event then thought its not worth anymore, so started to spend all the accumulated coins (had about 8bn). And I don't think recent changes are worth even for P2Ws.
I personally would wait till one more event after Toty and if things won't improve will call it quits. No qualms.
That's because you are looking at the end result, not what the actual logic is or how it breaks down
Whether that player comes from a draft that costs 3k gems or a 3k untradeable daily pack, it is a step where you convert your base resource gems into getting a pack, and the result here is controlled by RNG (random number generator). And you walk away with a card you got with your pack luck that you will use in the exchanges one way or the other. That's where the draft really ends. So this is much of a muchness, except that 2% chances of getting 116+ is much higher than getting the 114/115 card in the past 2 events.
Where the new formula starts to fail is what I said earlier: the ridiculous parameters that have been set for the Phase 2 Token. You are getting a ridiculous conversion rate from whatever cards you get after the draft stage, so nothing for up to 112 cards, 113-115 cards, only 5 Phase 2 tokens. 116 gives 50, and 117 gives 150. If a similar conversion rate were to remain, the 117 would get you (250) P2 tokens, then 116 (180), 115 (120), 114 (60), 113 (30) and below 112 (10). If a similar or fair number of Phase 2 tokens had been given, then no one would care that it's called drafts or any other name. This is where the choice has been partially stripped, the parameters set (so the cost), and the removal of supplementary resources.
You still have a choice if you can afford the 117 or 116 exchange, haha.

Good point, I agree to a certain extent mate that phase 2 tokens can be handled better to improve the current situ. But the exchange will give you a 117 or 116 not the card/position u r looking for, isn't it?

The Phase 2 tokens are what screwed everyone up in their current form.
If you mean the exchange? No, the Pool A in the draft is RNG driven, where it's pack luck (btw on 95th draw I got Gullit today :D).
Anyway, the choice is in the exchanges with 300 Phase 2 tokens for 116 and 900 P2T for 117.
However on a flipside, if what Antwan said in the stream is correct in reality (that will be revealed in the next event), then we can use Phase 2 tokens in future events in a similar manner to the Nations shards from the Nations side event. One thing is for sure, current cost to reward ratio doesnt stack up, period.
A lot of what I said has been fed back by me through the mods channel, and I guess similar feedback was passed on by Pulsar. Now the ball is in EAs FCM dev team court. They did action bits and bobs from the feedback but its a long way to go. The constructiveness of some people posts like this one does help Pulsar massively so keep the detailed and constructive feedback coming.

dzrtr - 26 Phase 2 tokens, if it's a replacement of shards, is still a poorer cousin to shard system, even if it had maintained same token reward levels like you said in Ur earlier post mate.
Let's assume I have 900 26 phase 2 tokens and I want 117 Gullit.. what are my chances? In shards system if I had the 1.5k shards I would have got Gullit 100pc right.
I liked the shards system for its definitive nature though the price sometimes used to be high, still you pay it, you get it for sure. Now we r deprived of that.
