CONMEBOL Copa América Event Feedback

Hello to all☺️

Firstly, I'm wondering why nobody from EA has made a blog post about this event. At least I haven't found one.


Because the rules were tacitly changed in the event in the quarter-finals.

Instead of getting four tickets, you only got two and you could only choose between two games in the event. Which I think is a great pity.

Furthermore, should someone from EA explain to me the logic of why Roy Keane and Riccardo Carvalho are in the Copa America Starpass?

They have absolutely nothing to do with this event🤷🏻‍♂️

It can't be that EA doesn't own any Copa America Heroes or Icon player licences.

So I assume that once again some development nerd at EA who has never dealt with football has decided this🫣🙄

    @Konterman on point one - you could only choose one player per matchup, so I expect something changed and only two matchups were provided instead of four - could have been licensing, but I expect we will never know.

    Point 2 - they keep putting out previous star pass players so people can rank them up - but yes, there would probably be more pertinent choices, but I don’t really need another Vini Jr, so you know 😉

    I’ve asked about point one - but like I said, probably licensing associated with the teams that made the quarters

    It can hardly be a licence problem. As there are already players from these national teams in the Copa America playing card range.🧐

    I rather think it was a mistake and someone didn't realise that a quarter-final is made up of four games.😂😂

    @Konterman Licensing varies based on context - they may be able to have a base card for a player that is part of an included league or part of an included event, but they are not able to have any of those players as featured cards.

    I expect we will never know though
