If you could choose Diego Forlán or Karim Benzema for your team, which one would you choose? And why? That's my main question right now. I've been doing some comparisons, looking at the two cards, but I haven't come to a conclusion yet.

I have got Forlan and trained him to lv.25. Forlan is real good especially in VSA. The only problem you might find is his heel to heel flick which isn't that handy. Would have appreciated had he got the roulette or even lane change like benzema. Both have weak foot rating 4. But Forlan has better attacking stats and with the dexterity boost he becomes an absolute beast. And that he has High defensive work rate. I tried to press with him and did well. The only issue is with the dribbling but I have roulette in my other skill moves which makes it manageable. Overall I would recommend Forlan. He also comes with a 5% buff.
Neither. The awful gameplay will ruin them anyway.

Forlán is faster than Benzema. Talking about the tackling skill, he is better too. Not so good as him passing (Benzema wins), but I can increase that skill using Mascheranos.
The buff thing isn't a problem. Only 40 is the difference (800 Benzema or 760 Forlán).
But I guess that Forlán is better at all.

Today, I would choose Iniesta 110 OVR (first option to replace Bergkamp 111 OVR, now 116) and Forlán 111 OVR (760). With the surplus/excess, I could choose Veron 110 OVR (500).
Well, I like the gameplay so much! It's a fantastic game (FC Mobile). Everyday a I learn something new to be a better player. With Scouting Camp, I've already used both and I prefer Forlán.
Yeah and the more I played with Forlan I realised he is pressing really well and executing beautiful sliding tackles up front. His heel to heel flick might seem troublesome in VSA but that doesn't affect much since he s obviously scoring all the great chances and most of the good chances.
About iniesta, I chose him in the very first week because I am a barca fan and I never regretted it. And what a card, what a player he is. His passes travel well and the lane change skill is so good. Never tried veron though. In fact in 7 years of playing this game, I realise now that I never had veron in my team and don't even need him now in my well packed midfield. But I would still recommend him because I see he has a good card with pretty good stats, roulette skill move and so many traits all of them at a very achievable 500 shard cost. The only concern is that both his work rates are medium but that can be negated if you spend skill points on awareness and roaming midfielder. His stats seem good for it. Physical and box to box skills might seem luring but from my experience I can say they don't work for CMs. Hope this helps.

I'm not going to pick Verón anymore. I'm going to improvise with Iniesta as CM (he'll be the first option to replace Zidane or Xavi), considering that Bergkamp is the starter in that position (the same as Iniesta). Now, I'm saving up to acquire Forlán and Benzema. I'd rather have both, even if one is Shevchenko's replacement.
If you get both Forlan and Benzema then I would suggest you to try and assemble a 3-4-1-2 or 3-5-2 formation. That would give a strong midfield core and a solid defense with the right choice of players. I am now on my way to shift from 4-3-3 attack to 3-4-1-2 or 3-4-3 diamond as I have always been a fan of both. In the screenshot you can see the team I had in Fifa Mobile 18 and though recreating it is now near impossible I would still love to stick to my ideology and tactics if EA provides more of LMs and RMs in the upcoming event.

I'm an old-school 4-4-2 fan (actually, 4-1-2-1-2 Narrow). Let me show you my current team (at the end of this message).
I have 1,102 captain shards, and with another 200, I'll be able to choose Benzema and Verón. I've already selected Forlán, who has a 114 OVR (needing Macheranos to promote him—or the promotion tokens that will come from FC 26).
