Agree. H2H play ought to be the best part of any self-respecting football game and, for me, it’s the most infuriating part of FC Mobile (with Manager Mode coming a close second).

By all appearances EA decided a long time ago to rely heavily on Autoplay to compensate for the unreliability of user connections and its own unwillingness to embrace regional matchmaking. Put another way, there has to be an over-bearing AI/Autoplay regime running in the background to paper over the fact that there is a nearly constant delay of user inputs. So, we have the privilege of playing against someone halfway around the world, but the trade-off is that we’re not actually having a competitive match due to the lag across such great distances.  Instead, it’s mainly the AI that’s playing for us while we struggle (and mostly fail) to muster the ESP necessary to make a meaningful contribution. It’s an infuriatingly stupid state of affairs and EA doesn’t seem to care so long as the P2Ps keep pumping their coins into the card-collecting slot machine.

I'm almost at 35 stars in FC Champ and I can tell you that every single opponent I face abuses autoplay when defending. I have autoplay turned off for other reasons, but even while relying on the flawed manual defending, I could win the ball, close passing lanes, close shooting lanes. But because I'm a human being, I commit many mistakes.

Autoplay on the other hand does everything consistently and makes my attacking attempts a living hell. Every h2h match feels like an uphill battle where I'm substantially disadvantaged.
