Lets make vsa truly pvp and not a combo of 2 separate PvAI. Let humans control both sides and let each team be given the same set of chances but in random order. Let all gameplay be seen by both parties just like h2h. This will make it a true test of quick judgement, skill and also reduce the server compute requirements.
This will also provide the required level of transparency and fairness that players expect.

Actually, I don't understand why something can't be done with the VSA mode... Even if you lose with ovr 122-123 and you have ovr 118-119, you should have equal chances to win, even if the opponent has 5-6 grate changes, you should have more good or Basic changes, but the time should end after you give all your chances, in case you don't miss any opportunity.
The idea is to make the chances identical irrespective of ovr and visible to both.
So then maybe its better to just remove vsa?
Sounds cool - but the full PvP model falls down for those of us who are a long way from the servers, so it would turn into the lag infested cesspool that is H2H (which is unplayable for many of us).
VSA is hosted entirely on your device, with only the score data sent to your opponent, so it has much much less server impact than H2H, which has both ends running simultaneously through the server.
it’s an interesting idea though - they used to do similar in Madden Mobile, but I think they dropped it because people like to spend their time scoring rather than defending 😉
