While building up an attack, my player suddenly auto-cleared the ball — without me pressing anything — and handed possession straight to the opponent.
That’s not a bug. That’s not defending. That’s a forced mistake.
When EA wants me to lose, I will lose. No matter what I do.
That's a feature of the game. If pass backwards to your defenders or if the opponents are pressing you or you keep the ball in your half to long, the defender kicks the ball.
I’m well aware it’s a “feature.” That’s not the problem.
The problem is that this trash feature only shows up when I’m meant to lose — like when I’m at two stars and the system decides I’m not getting promoted.
In normal matches, even with full pressure on, it doesn’t trigger. But in those matches? My defender suddenly auto-clears the ball for no reason, right as I’m about to pass, dribble, or use a skill move.
It cuts off whatever I was about to do — even if there’s no real danger. In this case, the opponent wasn’t even very close, and I had plenty of space behind. You can see in the video I was literally about to pass, and the game just blasts the ball out.
This “feature” exists for one reason: to break your momentum and hand the ball over, so you can’t win no matter what you do.
This video shows the exact moment from when I gained possession to when that dumb “feature” kicked in. I was just starting to build up — there was absolutely no issue of staying too long in my own half.
Why can’t I just control my player and play the game that is actually fair?
Game is extremely unfair when it wants to be. btw How did you upload such a long recording?
Length isn’t really the issue — it’s more about file size. I think the limit is around 70MB. If you convert your clip to an MP4 file, it should upload just fine. As for how to convert it, just Google it — there are plenty of free tools that work well. If it still doesn’t work, then yeah — the clip is probably just too long.

It’s a seriously frustrating “feature,” in my opinion. I see it all the time in PvE, especially with the AI on hardcore. You’re in control, leading, holding possession — then out of nowhere, your defence panics instead of passing the ball to the intended target.
Another equally annoying one is the so-called “panic shooting.” You break into a semi-clear position, two defenders rush in, and instead of a composed finish, your top-tier meta striker blasts it over the bar like a panicked centre-back clearing a threat...
You’re absolutely right — I’ve experienced the exact same nonsense, and none of it feels fair. The worst part is, EA breaks their own rules when it comes to fair play.
It only happens if I am passing in my own half trying to kill the game. It was meant to make players attack even if they have the lead and not try to pass the ball from one defender to another like sometimes happens. I think the issue with this thing is that it doesn't happens all the time and not to all players. I had games that opponents started passing the ball in their own half and nothing happened. It might be the fact they don't have auto passing on.
