Play dumbed down - no point of rankups and training

Spent more than 6bn coins to get couple of 118ovr gold ranked players who R both 5*WF.  Apart from this I have 6 other players who are 112/113ovrs. Team is playing like crap and loosing more than winning.  They just don't shoot when there is a chance and are dribbling near the goal in mgr mode.  In vsa speed is very inconsistent.. so I am not sure whether to sprint or stop.  I am not a novice and there is for sure some crap change affecting the game.
